Wyoming County man pleads guilty to drug crime

PINEVILLE, WV (WVNS) — A Wyoming County man pleaded guilty to a felony drug crime involving methamphetamine.

50-year-old Allen Ray Adams, of Pineville, pleaded guilty and was convicted on February 7, 2024 to one felony count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).

Inmate charged with additional felonies in Fayette County

Members of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia Southern Regional Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at Adams’ house on April 7, 2023 after Adams’ involvement in multiple controlled buys that involved the purchase of methamphetamine.

While this guilty plea marks a significant victory, it also serves as a reminder that our work is far from over. We will continue to be relentless in our efforts to dismantle drug networks and hold accountable those who choose to exploit our community for their personal gain. We will vigorously seek maximum penalties and rehabilitation for offenders, working hand in hand with the judicial system to protect Wyoming County and its residents. The illegal drug trade jeopardizes public safety, destroys lives, and fosters an environment of fear and vulnerability. We will remain steadfast in our pursuit of justice and our commitment to rid our county of these illegal activities
