Xavier baseball earns No. 3 seed in Big East Conference Tournament at Prasco Park
Xavier University's baseball team is back in the Big East Conference Tournament next week at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.
The top four teams in the final Big East regular-season standings qualify for the conference, where the double-elimination tournament champion earns the automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament.
Connecticut (43-12, 16-4 Big East) is the No. 1 seed. Creighton (29-16, 14-5) is the No. 2 seed. Xavier (30-25, 12-8) is the No. 3 seed, and Georgetown (31-21, 10-10) is the No. 4 seed.
Conference tournament action starts on Thursday with UConn and Georgetown at 2:30 p.m., followed by Xavier and Creighton at 6:30 p.m.
It's the Musketeers' third straight appearance in the conference tournament.
