Xbox Game Pass free games for March 2023 announced
Xbox has detailed the first wave of free games coming to Game Pass in March, across consoles, PC and cloud streaming.
The subscription service has different versions for console and PC, which lets players download and play games from a large selection. A higher tier called Ultimate combines the two together and lets you stream games to your console, PC, phone and tablet, with your saves and achievements automatically syncing over.
Going through the March Game Pass additions in date order, meticulously detailed animated fighter Guilty Gear -Strive- (console, PC, cloud) is already available, whilst Xbox 360 science-fiction survival horror duo Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 will be available to stream from tomorrow, March 9.

The Game Preview version of procedurally generated Norse survive-athon Valheim is already on PC, and it's coming to console on March 14.
Sid Meier's Civilization VI (console, PC, cloud) follows on March 16. Plenty of extra content for the historical simulation has been released since the game first came out in 2016, including new content having dropped this very month.
Finally, Studio Ghibli-adjacent JRPG Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom drops on Game Pass console and PC on March 21. This is the Prince's Edition of the game, which includes all of the DLC to make your journey into the fantastical even longer.
Halo Infinite has been available on Game Pass since day one, and its third season of content and online unlocks has just begun this week, if you're looking for a reason to get back in the Warthog.
Meanwhile, Sea of Thieves is getting the 'Forts of Fortune' update on March 16. Its 5th anniversary is taking place on March 20, and you'll get lots of little goodies for logging in.
Speaking of little goodies, Game Pass Ultimate Perks include some in-game items for Halo Infinite, F1 22, and The Sims 4's Sleepover Sleepwear Set.
Of course, as new games get added to Game Pass, others occasionally leave the service.
The games listed as leaving 'soon' are: F1 2020, Goat Simulator, Kentucky Route Zero, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Paradise Killer, Undertale, Young Souls, Zero Escape: The Nonary Games.
All of the leaving games are for console, PC and cloud streaming, except for F1 2020, which is console only.
