XC Roundup: Groton-Dunstable, Lunenburg, Uxbridge, Whitinsville Christian earn championships

Boys' cross-country

Division 3B: Uxbridge's Aidan Ross took the top spot in 16:00.96, while teammates Lincoln Schiller (17:25.80) finished sixth and Carl Gallawan took 11th (18:20.69) as the Spartans (67) claimed the team title on the 3.1-mile layout at Gardner Municipal Golf Course.

Littleton's Timothy Rank (16:23.42) and Littleton's Bona Bradshaw (16:56.75) finished behind the Wake Forest-bound Ross as the Tigers placed fourth with 141 points, behind Tyngsborough (81) and Hampshire (94). Lunenburg (180) also finished sixth to qualify for the All-State Meet Saturday at Fort Devens.

Leicester's Jason Fournier was 12th (18:26.98), followed by Lunenburg's Connor Martin (18:32.05) and Tyler Fortier (18:36.31). Tyngsborough's Jack Gramer was 15th (18:41.11) and the Blue Knights' Vince Dellasanta took 16th (18:42.93) to help Lunenburg finish sixth.

Fournier qualified for All-States as an individual, as did Millbury's Jamie Hosier (23rd, 19:10.78), Innovation's Avery Kearnan (28th, 19:38.3) and Millbury's William Hughes (31st, 19:46.41).

Division 3A: Northbridge's Marcus Reilly cruised to a win over the 3.1-mile course at Gardner Municipal Golf Course, finishing in 16:11.87 − over a minute ahead of East Bridgewater's Nick Uzzo (17:16.33).

Reilly's brother Dylan finished ninth (17:51.71) for the Rams, and the two are headed to All-States

Weston (74) won the team title, while Gardner finished fourth (155) to qualify for All-States. Oakmont took 11th (271), Northbridge 12th (306) and AMSA (375) finished 14th.

Tyler Meunier was 14th (18:17.36) for Gardner, while Oakmont's Jayden Brostrom (18:26.65) also qualified for All-States by placing 18th.

Division 3C: Henry Jacobsen took second (17:00.69) and Caleb Hatlevig third (17:03.81) as Parker Charter (72) finished second on the 3.1-mile course at Gardner Municipal.

Lenox (46) won the team title, while Mount Greylock (73) took third, followed by Hopedale (143) and Bromfield (171), while Maynard (235) also qualified for All-States.

Hopedale's Jackson Hunt finished fifth (17:14.70), while Bromfield's Ben McWaters was 12th (17:54.85), Murdock's Jackson Skawinski was 17th (18:23.96) to qualify as an All-States individual, and Parker's Connor Stach was 20th (18:32.05).

Also qualifying for All-States was Ayer-Shirley's Jake Leone (23rd, 18:38.26).

Division 2A: Nashoba's Adam Balewicz finished the 3.1-mile course at Stanley Park in Westfield in 15:25.98 to take the individual title and help the Wolves (264) finish 11th.

Tantasqua's Camden Foley (16:55.03) was 22nd, while Grafton's Luke Herren (17:07.41) placed 28th. Both qualified for All-States as individuals.

Valley Tech was the top Central Mass. school, finishing 10th with 251 points, led by All-State qualifier Cooper O'Neil (17:15.54).

Division 2B: Groton-Dunstable's Neil Aradhya was third (16:19.66), Zach Metzger was 13th (16:51.25), Ethan McDonald placed 15th (16:56.69), Anoushk Yadav was 28th (17:25.75) and Declan Hann was 35th (17:39.14) on the 3.1-mile course at Stanley Park in Westfield to lead the Crusaders (94) to the team title.

Falmouth's Henry Gartner won the race in 15:19.25. North Middlesex's Alexander Murray placed 39th (17:49.99).

Division 2C: Whitinsville Christian's Jack Crowley was ninth (16:53.97), Justin Vos 12th (17:11.33), Evan Hand 22nd (17:41.78) and Jack Carlin 33rd (17:52.77) as the Crusaders placed fifth (119) over the 3.1-mile course at Stanley Park in Westfield to qualify for the All-State championships.

Norwell (63) won the team title. Hudson's Andrew Klinedinst was 11th (17:05.10) to qualify for All-States.

Girls' cross-country

Division 3B: Lunenburg's Abby Rodriquenz finished seventh (21:29.43), while teammates Lauren Long (12:53.61) was ninth, Iliana Thomas was 11th (22:08.37), Breanna Bajko (22:56.74) was 26th and Karynna Long was 42nd (24:14.13) to help the Blue Knights (80) defend their the team title won the 3.1-mile course at Gardner Municipal Golf Course.

Oxford's Cameron Davis placed second (20:43.99) to secure an All-States berth. West Bridgewater's Ella Dunbury won the race in 20:23.39.

Littleton (93) placed fourth for an All-State berth, led by a fourth-place finish from Prianka Sarathy (21:15.39) and a 10th-place effort from Bridget Stevens (21:59.63).

Leicester's Abby Bernabei was 20th (22:48.03) and secured an All-States berth. Tyngsborough's Isabella Duarte (third 21:40.53) and Bryleee Betty (31st, 23:20.98) also are headed to All-States.

Division 3A: Gardner's Krista Bettez took fifth (21:08.14) and sister Kaylee Bettez took 13th (21:48.40) as the Wildcats (97) took second at Gardner Municipal.

Weston (38) won the team title, while Lynnfield (101) took third and AMSA (160) fourth. Oakmont finished sixth (202) and Nipmuc placed seventh (208) to qualify for All-States.

Nipmuc's Avery Orff was sixth (21:11.19), while Oakmont's Katherine Horgan placed 20th (22:35.08), Nipmuc's Caydence Carr was 21st (22:36.89) and teammate Gretchen Uthoff was 22nd (22:38.29) and AMSA's Kathleen Galvin took 23rd (22:43.35).

Division 3C: Bromfield's Evelyn Wool finished first in 19:59.61 to edge Murdock's Avery Murphy (20:12.45) for the individual title on the 3.1-mile course at Gardner Municipal Golf Course.

Murdock's Lillian Skawinski was fourth (21:06.88) to qualify for All-States, while Bromfield's Rosie Bradley (21.26.20) was seventh. Sutton's Annabel Lamoreaux was eighth (21:46.14), Ayer-Shirley's Carolyn Mason was 10th (21:53.70) and Sutton's Kayleen Boratyn took 11th (21:56.42).

Lenox (74) won the team title. Sutton (96) placed third, while Bromfield was fourth (101), Ayer-Shirley sixth (184) and Narragansett seventh (214), all qualifying for All-States.

Led by All-States qualifier Natalie Champeon (18th, 22:18.13), Maynard took eighth (255) and qualified as a team.

Division 2A: Nashoba's Caroline Collins took second place over 3.1 miles, finishing the Stanley Park course in 18:56.11, just behind Amherst-Pelham's Tamar Byl-Brann (18:42.25).

Nashoba freshman Ella Rogers (19:26.47) finished sixth and classmate Jillian Valentino (20:23.63) 18th to help the Wolves (91) place third and qualify for All-States. Amherst-Pelham (79) won the team title.

Leominster's Anna Serafini was 19th (20:23.63), while Tantasqua's Tessa Kline took 22nd (20:40.22) and Valley Tech's Chloe Vescio placed 29th (21:05.65), Burncoat's Juanita Guitierrez was 31st (21:06.97) and Valley Tech's Amanda Pajak placed 34th (21:12.1), all qualifying for All-States.

Division 2B: Groton-Dunstable's Georgia Brooks was fifth in 19:02.05 and Catherine Daly 20th (20:21.85) to land All-State berths and help the Crusaders (222) finish eighth as a team.

North Middlesex's Caitlin Kimball finished 33rd (21:05.31) for a spot in All-States.

Division 2C: Whitinsville Christian eighth grader Abby Flagg cruised to the individual title, finishing the 3.1-mile course at Stanley Park in 18:47.04, while teammates Emma Wierenga (19:36.67) took sixth, Emily Dill (19:59.33) placed 10th, Fiona Donnelly (20:06.58) was 13th, Emelyn DeWeerd (20:17.80) was 16th and Sophia Dill (20:48.16) was 22nd to give the Crusaders (35) the team title.

Hudson's Rachael Korowski was 11th (20:00.61), while Notre Dame's Naomi Witt placed 18th (20:38.13) and Tahanto's Chloe Casperson (21:04.20) 27th for All-State berths. St. Paul's Emma Ronan (21:11.16) finished 30th.
