Xenia woman, 27, dies in Clinton County crash involving semi truck

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Clinton County, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.

OSHP said Heather Cole, 27, of Xenia, was driving a compact car on Ohio 380 in Chester Township when it went left of center and was struck by a semi truck driven by Jeffrey Thompson, 51, of Urbana.

Both cars left the west side of the road.

Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported Thompson to Kettering Health Greene Memorial hospital where he was treated for nonserious injuries.

OSHP was joined by Clinton County Sheriff's Department, Chester Township Fire Department and EMS, Wilmington Fire Department and five other agencies and companies.

OSHP is still investigating the crash.
