Yahoo Accidentally Tweets the N-Word, Twitter Goes Wild
Yahoo has deleted a tweet that had an unfortunate typo, which changed the word “bigger” to a racial slur. As you might expect, Twitter went nuts, mocking the company.
The headline for the story on Yahoo Finance is, “Trump Wants a Much Bigger Navy: Here’s How Much It’ll Cost.” It was presumably a rough night for the company’s social media editor, as the “b” in the word “bigger” was replaced with an “n” when the article was tweeted.
Shortly after the tweet was sent, Yahoo deleted it and sent an apology, chalking it up to a “spelling error.”
We deleted an earlier tweet due to a spelling error. We apologize for the mistake.

Yahoo declined to give TheWrap an additional comment.
Twitter backlash to the mistake was swift, and it quickly became a trending topic on the social media platform.
