KRYSTEN PEEK: Anthony Edwards burst onto the scene at the Maui Invitational, where he scored 33 points in one half of basketball, including seven 3's against a tough Michigan State team. Every single NBA team was in the gym for that performance. The 6' 5" shooting guard played one year under Tom Crean at Georgia, where he averaged 19 points per game. Edwards is a strong bully guard with a high release on his jump shot, making it virtually impossible to guard.

He needs to get better on his shot selection and limiting his turnovers since there are times he'll probably play the one and two guard position in the NBA. Edwards NBA comparisons include Dwyane Wade, Victor Oladipo, and Donovan Mitchell with his playmaking ability. Lucky for him, Tom Crean also coach Wade and Oladipo at the college level, so he's had some good direction this season. Edwards is virtually a lock as a top 3 draft pick due to his size and potential at the next level.
