KRYSTEN PEEK: Nico Mannion is a 6' 3" point guard originally from Italy and played just one year at Arizona where he averaged 14 points and 5.3 per game. He's a true floor general with great vision and a high basketball IQ. I once saw Nico score six points in seven seconds at the end of the half during an AAU game in one of the best heads up play I've seen from a young guard.

Mannion struggled this year in Arizona and didn't really dominate the Pac-12 like most scouts thought he would. He shot just under 40% from the field and only 32.7% from 3. He's also a little bit undersized at 6' 3". And with an overwhelming amount of point guards in this draft, Mannion could fall outside the lottery.

His game is similar to Spurs point guard Derrick White. Both players are similar in size. And like White, Nico has great footwork and can create offense for himself and his teammates. Mannion did enough this year at Arizona to solidify himself as a first round pick, and I see a team taking him in the late teens or early 20s.
