YAIAA boys' lacrosse coaches name 2022 league all-stars and players of the year

It's been a good week for the Central York boys' lacrosse team.

A YAIAA title with a surprising 10-4 win over undefeated Susquehannock Friday night.

And now seven league all-stars and the league's Player of the Year chosen from its roster.

YAIAA boys' lacrosse coaches released their 2022 YAIAA all-star over the weekend. Susquehannock had the most selections (10) while Central York had seven players honored.

Central York senior attackman Jimmy Kohr was named Offensive Player of the Year and overall Player of the Year. The Boston University commit has scored 48 goals and 17 assists this year.

West York senior long stick midfielder Brayden Ziegler was named Defensive Player of the Year. The senior picked up 115 ground ball to go with 11 goals and 11 assists.

Susquehannock head coach Tom Mayne was named coach of the Year for guiding the Warriors to a 17-1 record and the top seed in District 3 Class 2A.

The league also named late New Oxford assistant Dennis Fuhrman as Assistant Coach of the Year. Fuhrman died unexpectedly on March 12.

Defensive midfield: Central York’s Alec Fahs

Long-stick midfield: West York’s Brayden Ziegler

Goalie: York Catholic’s Nick Creisher
