Yankees run win streak to 4 with 2-1 win over Orioles despite not hitting a homer

It wasn’t easy or pretty, but the Yankees made it four in a row. DJ LeMahieu scored on Luke Voit’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning for a 2-1 win over the Orioles at Yankee Stadium Saturday.

After losing five straight and dropping three out of four to the Orioles last weekend, the Yankees (25-21) have taken the first three of this series against Baltimore and have won four straight games for the first time since Aug. 11-17 when they won six straight against the Braves and Red Sox.

LeMahieu began the bottom of the 10th on second base. He advanced to third when Hunter Harvery threw a 98-mile an hour fastball wild in his first pitch to Voit to start the inning. LeMahieu scored on Voit’s sacrifice fly to center field.

LeMahieu scored both Yankees runs Saturday. It was their first win this season in a game where they did not hit a home run, having lost the last nine such games.
