Yara Shahidi is officially a Harvard University graduate!

The Grown-ish star graduated from Harvard University on May 26, which she commemorated on Instagram.

Shahidi shared a series of photos of herself dressed in her cap and gown with the caption, "Yara (noun): a Harvard graduate 👩🏾‍🎓 #ITSOFFICIAL #CLASSOF2022."

Leading up to the special milestone, the Black-ish alum shared posts counting down to her graduation on social media.

On May 24, Shahidi shared a photo of herself as a kid putting up two fingers, adding the caption: "Officially graduating in ✌🏽 days."

In a separate post featuring her mom, Keri, the actress wrote, "Celebrating ALL week! T MINUS ☝️ DAY AWAY FROM GRADUATION 👩🏾‍🎓."

Yara Shahidi studied within Havard's Social Studies & African American departments.

Though it’s unknown what she received her degree in, Yara Shahidi told Vogue that she studied within the institution’s Social Studies & African American departments, concentrating on “Black political thought under a neocolonial landscape.”

She revealed that she completed a 136-page thesis paper before accepting her diploma.

“It’s surreal to have finally hit this major milestone,” she told the outlet. “I’ve known I wanted to go to college since I was four. By 17, I knew exactly what I wanted to study, so to see that come to fruition is a goal fulfilled.”

Harvard has always been the actress' dream school.

Back in 2017, Yara Shahidi told Seventeen that she  “got into every college” she applied to, including Yale University, Spelman College, and Stanford University. However, she’d always had her heart set on Harvard.

“I used to have the Harvard webpage up, and I’d go through the course catalog,” she said while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2018 So needless to say, this is something I’ve been planning for a long time.”

Congratulations Yara!
