Patrick McClure, 13, Martinsville, was killed in a collision between a mini bike and a motor car in front of his uncle Frank McClure’s house in Greencastle.

Anniversary: Gilbert and Bonnie (Slough) Miller celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary.

The Owen County Sheriff’s Departments acquired video taping technology through a combination of federal and local funds.

Funeral director Arthur Day, 67, was struck and killed by a car driven by Howard Watson, 22, Harrodsburg, while crossing a street on Bloomington’s public square.

Seven white pine trees were planted in a semi-circle on the grounds of Solsberry High School to commemorate Lawrence Abram, Harry Hill, Earl Bullock, Robert Gardner, James Elland, Perry Paris, and Ranard Crowe, who gave their lives in World War II.
