New Year's Eve in Memphis: 10 events to help you ring in 2022

Memphis will ring in 2022 the way the city knows best: with music, food and drinks, and plenty of merriment to make a night to remember.

New Year's Eve festivities feature an assortment of entertainment from electronic dance DJs to rock bands to help you say goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022.

Here are some Dec. 31 events to help kick off the new year.

New Year's Eve on Beale

There's always a party on Beale Street, but expect the "Biggest Party of the Year" on New Year's Eve. The party will include a 50-foot tower featuring live entertainment, the raising of an illuminated ball and fireworks and a confetti cannon at midnight.

Thousands are expected to fill the street, enjoying live performers, dancing and visiting various restaurants and bars.

BEALE STREET BUSINESSES: A. Schwab continues to embrace change in order to survive

The Beale Street Merchants Association is offering a NYE 2021 Fast Pass for $100. The pass lets you bypass the line to get onto the street, skip to the front of most club lines and includes cover charges (usually $20+) at all clubs. All Beale Street clubs are participating except The New Daisy, Hard Rock Café, Tater Red's and Wet Willie's.

NYE @ Jerry Lee Lewis Café

Ring in 2022 with karaoke, Kruzz Kontrol Band, DJ Starrkiller, hookah, food and party favors from 4 p.m.-5 a.m. at Jerry Lee Lewis Café, 310 Beale St.

New Years at Hard Rock Café

Hard Rock Café, 126 Beale St., is offering two New Year's Eve events. From 4-7 p.m., Hard Rock Café will offer a special New Year's Eve dinner. From 9 p.m.-1 a.m., you can enjoy live bands, dancing and plenty of party favors.

New Year's Eve Celebration at Lafayette's Music Room

Dance and drink your way into the new year at Lafayette's Music Room, 2119 Madison Ave., with music by Radiomaze and Almost Famous. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the first musical performance starts at 6 p.m.

The Peabody New Year's Eve Party

Jam out with The Soul Shockers, Seeing Red, DJ Epic and The Rene Koopman Trio at The Peabody hotel, 149 Union Ave., for a New Year's Eve to remember.

Mingle throughout the lobby and mezzanine and enjoy some entertainment in the Continental Ballroom and the Corner Bar beginning at 8 p.m.

Farewell 2021 at B.B. King's Blues Club

Wine and dine at B.B. King's Blues Club, 143 Beale St., with a three-course meal, then enjoy some live music by Divercity and The B.B. King's Blues Club All-Star Band until the midnight champagne toast to kick off 2022.

NYE Bash at Tin Roof

Party into the new year at Tin Roof, 315 Beale St., with live music by Nashville's Andrew Velez Band at 6 p.m. followed by Memphis' Bluff City Bandits. The night also features a DJ battle in the Green Room.

Quintron and Miss Pussycat at Hi Tone Café

New Orleans duo Quintron and Miss Pussycat will rock into the new year at Hi Tone Café, 282-284 N. Cleveland St., with a live puppet show and dancing throughout the night.

NYE Special at Railgarten

Party the final moments of 2021 away at Railgarten, 2166 Central Ave., with food, drinks and Memphis rap duo 8Ball and MJG. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the duo performing at 10 p.m.

New Year's Eve Party at Central Station Hotel

Welcome the new year with cocktails, beignets and music from Memphis hip-hop artist DJ Spanish Fly at Eight & Sand Bar in the Central Station Hotel, 545 S. Main St. The festivities start at 9 p.m.
