Yelp names best ice cream shop in Massachusetts for 2023
Summertime and the consumption of delicious frozen treats go hand hand-in-hand.
Whether you’re craving a great scoop of vanilla or chocolate, a creamy soft serve, a refreshing shaved ice, or an ice cream sandwich, there is a delectable place for all lovers of sweets to check out on Yelp’s “Top 100 US Ice Cream Shops” for 2023.
The Ice Cream Barn in Swansea, Massachusetts, ranked 46th on Yelp’s list. The beloved shop at 289 Locust Street has been reviewed by more than 260 Yelpers and has a five-star rating.
One Yelper wrote of the Ice Cream Barn, “This is by far my favorite ice cream parlor in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are in tune with food allergies. And the ice cream is absolutely delicious!”
“Delicious years ago and still was this past week,” another Yelper said. “Huge portions.”
The Ice Cream Barn is located on Baker Farm and all of the ice cream is made fresh on-site with fresh, locally grown ingredients.
Tricycle Ice Cream in Providence, Rhode Island, was the highest-rated New England location, checking in at seventh on Yelp’s list.
Yelpers rave about Tricycle’s giant ice cream sandwiches and waffle-cone “tacos,” which are the specialty of this popular Providence shop. Top sellers include the Oreo Cookies & Sweet Cream ice cream taco, among more than 30 types of frozen gourmet desserts.
