ICYMI, Chris Pratt will be voicing the beloved grumpy cartoon cat Garfield in an animated movie.
The news — reported yesterday in an exclusive by the Hollywood Reporter — comes roughly a month after the Marvel star was cast as Mario in the animated Super Mario Bros. film alongside Anya Taylor-Joy.
And, as you might expect, the internet's reactions to the Garfield casting news went over about as well as the 42-year-old's voice role as Mario. Here are some of the best reactions below:

HOWEVER, on the bright side, Garfield will see director Mark Dindal and screenwriter David Reynolds reunited after having worked together on The Emperor's New Groove. The former also directed Chicken Little, while the latter wrote the screenplay for Finding Nemo.
So, about that new Garfield movie...A lot of people are fixated on the news that Chris Pratt will lend his voice to the cat, yet I'm celebrating that Mark Dindal, the director of Cats Don't Dance and The Emperor's New Groove, will be back in the director's chair after so long.
