YMCA of El Paso announced the appointment of Kenneth Wilson Jr. as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wilson, a veteran YMCA professional, has a rich leadership background and commitment to community service.
Wilson has climbed the ranks from a volunteer coach to an executive director. His journey with the YMCA started right after graduating from High School in 2006 in Chula Vista, California. He holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and an MBA from Grand Canyon University. His career is marked by significant roles, including serving on the USS Kearsarge and leading as the Executive Director of the Hutcherson Family YMCA in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Wilson’s approach to leadership is deeply rooted in promoting community and family health and wellness. “My vision for the YMCA’s success hinges on strengthening our community’s health and wellness. It’s more than a mission; it’s a commitment to enriching lives and nurturing the well-being of every family in El Paso,” said Kenneth Wilson Jr.

His unique experience with the Department of Defense and involvement in diverse YMCA roles across the country underscore his adaptability and innovative approach to leadership.
An avid sports enthusiast, Kenneth enjoys basketball and long-distance running, embodying the spirit of active and healthy living that the YMCA promotes.
Alongside his partner Shelbi, Kenneth is on a quest to run a race in all 50 states, emphasizing his dedication to fitness and exploration.
According to the YMCA, the non-profit organization expects significant growth and an enhanced focus on community and family health initiatives.
