Yonkers Fire Department event blesses and commissions two new trucks for city

The City of Yonkers on Tuesday, blessed and commissioned two new firetrucks for the city.

The new apparatus, Squad 11, stationed at Fire Station 11 at 433 Bronxville Road and Ladder 70, stationed at Station 14 at 2187 Central Park Avenue. The city invested over $2.2 million dollars in the 3-year project. Mayor Mike Spano, Fire Commissioner Tony Pagano and Deputy Chief of Operations John Folkerts presided over the event, and Fire Department Chaplain Rev. William Cleary blessed the new fire trucks and firefighters in attendance with holy water.
