New York 2021-22 all-state girls basketball: 3 from Section 4 named to first team

Maine-Endwell junior standout Kaety L'Amoreaux has been selected to the Class A all-state girls basketball first team for the 2021-22 season, one of three Section 4 players to receive first-team recognition.

She averaged 29.4 points per game this season and led the Spartans to the Section 4 Class A championship.

Senior Kayla Campbell of Section 4's Franklin was named Class D Player of the Year after scoring 27.2 points per game.

Marathon senior Brooke Tillotson, who averaged 24.3 points per game, joined her on the Class D first team.

Elmira High junior guard Jalea Abrams led Section 4 picks in Class AA, earning third-team recognition after averaging 21.2 points per contest for the Southern Tier Athletic Conference champion Express.

New York state Class C runner-up Newark Valley had four picks on the Class C team.

Selections were made by the New York State Sports Writers Association.
