York County homes for $2 million? Here are some of the biggest August property sales

The $30 million land sales across York and Lancaster counties in August include an increasing number of homes, including some hitting the $2 million mark.

Other sites include a hotel location in Fort Mill, prime commercial sites along I-77 and a golf course most recently owned by the Carolina Panthers.

Here’s a look, according to county land records, at the most recent $1 million or more transactions:

Stanley Martin Homes out of Charlotte bought property off Pleasant Road in Fort Mill, between the Encompass Health site and Pleasant Knoll Middle School to the south and the Legacy apartments to the north. The $12 million sale on Aug. 18 involves three parcels at more than 25 combined acres. The properties are just north of Vista Road. Other Stanley Martin properties in York County include the Timberwood subdivision in Rock Hill.

Homebuilder D.R. Horton bought 120 lots for more than $9.8 million on Aug. 28 for the first phase of Fergus Crossing, a new subdivision in York. The Gabby Ford Road site will have new homes and townhomes, according to online listings from the builder, with homes starting in the $300,000 range.

Flagship Rock Hill Riverwalk bought the 2-acre medical office building at 937 Riverwalk Parkway in Rock Hill on Aug. 28 for almost $4.7 million. The Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine site is just off Cherry Road and Riverwalk Parkway. The 2019 construction is almost 19,000 square feet.

Waterford Golf Club sold Aug. 21 for $3.4 million. As reported by the Herald, A New Jersey company bought more than 205 acres and the course the previously belonged to a real estate company associated with the Carolina Panthers.

Six Charlotte Highway and Dogwood Acres Road properties in Lancaster County sold Aug. 3 for more than $3 million. The sites combine for close to 10 acres. They include structures built between 1930 and 1995. Capstone Commons out of Charlotte is the new owner. The properties are across U.S. 521, or Charlotte Highway, from Thousand Oaks Road in Indian Land.

Almost 3 acres at 2225 Eden Terrace in Rock Hill sold Aug. 16 for $2.9 million. The site contains five commercial properties at a combined 43,000 square feet. River Rock Storage Rock Hill bought the mini storage sites a little east of Anderson Road, not far from city-owned property formerly slated to be the new Carolina Panthers headquarters.

Two commercial properties at and beside 992 Cabelas Drive in Fort Mill sold Aug. 22 for almost $2.7 million. The sites are almost 3 acres combined. The two empty lots are beside Cabelas along I-77, near the entrance to Carowinds. Earlier this summer the Herald reported plans submitted in York County for a new hotel on the property. A Nolensville, Tennessee company bought the properties.

A Carolina Coves home, on Blue River Road in Lake Wylie, sold Aug. 14 for more than $2.1 million. The 2008 build is more than 6,300 square feet with a pool, just off the Island Forks Road and Pole Branch Road intersection in the Mill Creek area.

A Raleigh, North Carolina company bought less than an acre in Indian Land from Hutton for more than $2.1 million. The highway front outparcel is part of Promenade at Carolina Reserve. It’s near Sun City in the Lancaster County panhandle.

A 4,900-square-foot Salem Drive home in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 18 for $2 million. The 2009 home has frontage and a dock on Crowders Creek. It also has a pool. It’s between Marlin Bay and Lake Wylie.

A more than 12,000-square-foot commercial property at 3575 Centre Circle in Fort Mill sold Aug. 29 for $1.9 million. Charlie Realty Company out of Fort Mill is the owner. It includes the Custom Glass Works building.

An almost 4,500-square-foot home on nearly 12 acres sold Aug. 9 for $1.7 million. The Brandon Road home in Clover is a 2020 construction and includes a pole barn.

A 5,500-square-foot Stone Cliff Lane home in Lake Wylie, in Carolina Coves, sold Aug. 24 for almost $1.7 million.

Four commercial properties on Hands Mill Highway, Old York Road and Adnah Church Road in Rock Hill sold Aug. 24 for $1.6 million. A Rock Hill investment company bought the property that includes McCray’s Country Cupboard store at the intersection of all three roads.

A combined 14 properties on Treetop, Gray Shadow and Trace Meadow courts, plus Wylie Falls Lane, sold Aug. 25 for $1.5 million. KH Handsmill out of Delray Beach, Florida bought the residential lots in Lake Wylie, off Pinnacle Way, as part of the second phase of The Gentry at Handsmill.

More than an acre of commercial property at 1053 S. Anderson Road in Rock Hill sold Aug. 21 for $1.5 million. A New Jersey company bought the 1,800-square-foot Taco Bell fast food restaurant site near where Anderson meets I-77.

Building Bricks of Waxhaw bought almost 5 acres in Indian Land on Aug. 15 for almost $1.4 million. The 9571 Charlotte Hwy. site south of Edgewater Corporate Parkway is the parking lot for Sharonview Federal Credit Union.

A 4,400-square-foot facility at 1538 Health Care Drive in Rock Hill sold Aug. 11 for almost $1.4 million. Solestars of Lancaster bought the medical building.

A 4,100-square-foot Sugar Pond Court home in Fort Mill sold Aug. 21 for almost $1.4 million.

A 4,100-square-foot Buckner Hill Lane home Fort Mill sold Aug. 10 for almost $1.4 million.

A 3,400-square-foot Montgomery Road home in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 28 for $1.3 million.

A 4,600-square-foot Loire Valley Drive home in Indian Land sold Aug. 23 for almost $1.3 million.

A 4,500-square-foot Intrepid Street home in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 28 for almost $1.3 million.

A 3,300-square-foot Beaver Run home in Tega Cay sold Aug. 30 for $1.2 million.

A Pin Oak Court home in Fort Mill sold Aug. 21 for $1.2 million.

A 3,300-square-foot Bonita Road home in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 14 for almost $1.2 million.

A 2,700-square-foot Delmar Road home in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 31 for more than $1.1 million.

A 3,500-square-foot Chase Court home in Fort Mill sold Aug. 14 for $1.1 million.

A 3,500-square-foot Bullfinch Bend home in Fort Mill sold Aug. 9 for $1.1 million.

A 5,500-square-foot Feathers Drive home in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 10 for $1 million.
