York Four on the Fourth returns for first time since 2019; race attracts more than 800 registered runners

YORK, Maine – Jefferson Tucker, of Cape Neddick, was the first to cross the finish line at Monday’s York Four on the Fourth.

Tucker finished in a time of 21 minutes, 29 seconds and bested the field of the 745 runners who completed the race.

Christopher Dunn, of Kennebunk, was second in a time of 22:01.

it was the first time in three years the annual race has been held.

Alanna McDonough, also of Cape Neddick, was 21st overall and the first woman to cross the finish line in a time of 25:11. Jess Ward placed second in a time of 25:34.

Jamie Filias (22:19) of York placed third overall, while Patrick McGucken (22;53) of Westwood, Massachusetts, Eric Goodney (22:55) of Etna, New Hampshire, Henri Rivard (23:05) of South Berwick, Chris La Croix (23:10) of South Berwick, Fergus Cullen (23:26) of Dover, New Hampshire, Donovan Ingle (23:30) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Aidan Ring (23:32) of York rounded out the top 10.

Page Cassidy (25:59) of Holden, Massachusetts was the third woman to finish, while Jess Tiernan (26:15) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Kelly Goodwin (26:38) of Dover, New Hampshire, Kelly Whittaker (26:54) of Charlestown, Massachusetts, Sarah Beth McClellan (27:18) of Eliot, McKenna Kelemanik (27:23) of Natick, Massachusetts, Bridgette Cassidy (27:54) of Holden, Massachusetts, and Emma Schick (28:05) of Newfields, New Hampshire, placed fourth through 10th, respectively.

Male age group top winners were Blake Knowles, 27:13 (12 and under); Rivard, 23:05 (13-17); Christopher Dunn, 22:01 (18-29); La Croix, 23:10 (30-39); Phillip Goodney, 24:20 (40-49); Cullen, 23:26 (50-59); Ernie Milner, 29:22 (60-64); Mike Barry, 27:25 (65-69); Joseph Aiello, 36;09 (70-74); Rudy Kelley, 31:34 (75-79); and Lawson Noyes, 39:44 (80-84)

Female age group top winners were Charlotte Keefe, 32:4 (12 and under); McClellan, 27:18 (13-17), Paige Cassidy, 25:59, (18-29); Tiernan, 26:15 (30-39); Ward, 25:34 (40-49); Laurie Gaudreau, 28:06 (50-59), Carmela Taveras, 31:09 (60-64), Catherine Howe, 30:54, (65-69); Carol Weeks, 34:38 (70-74); and Faye Gagnon, 44:34 (75-79).

Previous winners have included Rorbear Curran (2019, 21:23), David Chorney (2018, 21:13), Alex Moser (2017, 20:24), and Colton Ham (2016, 21:15; 2015, 20:46).
