New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels announce Friday starting lineups; Alonso returns

The New York Mets open a three-game road series on Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels.

First pitch is set for 9:38 p.m. at Angel Stadium. The game will be broadcast exclusively on Apple TV Plus.

Tylor Megill (4-2, 4.41) will start for the New York, while Jhonathan Diaz (1-0, 1.32) will go for Los Angeles.

Pete Alonso (hand) is back in the Mets starting lineup.
