New York Mets, Miami Marlins announce Friday night starting lineups

The New York Mets open a three-game road series against the Miami Marlins on Friday night.

First pitch is set for 6:40 p.m. at Loan Depot Park. The game will be broadcast in New York on WPIX and nationally on the MLB Network.

Taijuan Walker (5-2, 2.88) will start for New York, while Sandy Alcantara (7-2, 1.72) will go for Miami.

The Mets (45-26) lead the National League East by four games, while the Marlins (32-36) are in fourth place in the division, 11½ games behind New York.
