New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies release Saturday afternoon starting lineups

UPDATE: Mets-Phillies rained out Saturday

Coming off Thursday's improbable ninth-inning comeback and then a rainout Friday, the New York Mets hope to take on the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday afternoon in the second game of their now three-game series down in the City of Brotherly Love.

First pitch is scheduled 4:05 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park weather permitting. The game will be broadcast on SNY in New York.

The forecast calls for rain with a high of 52 degrees on Saturday. There is also a wind advisory in effect, according to the National Weather Service

Max Scherzer (4-0, 2.61) will start for New York, while Kyle Gibson (2-1, 2.93) will go for Philadelphia.

Trailing 7-1 entering their final at-bats, the Mets rallied for seven runs and held on for an 8-7 won on Thursday night.
