Feb. 15 was the deadline for New York Mets pitchers and catchers to report to Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, marking the official beginning of the spring training baseball season in St. Lucie County.

Baseball fans can catch a glimpse of what it takes for Mets players to prepare for the regular season by attending free daily open workout sessions. Most generally begin at 9:30 a.m., but times are subject to change, so check the schedule on the Mets website or Twitter page.

Spring training runs through March 26 with games for the World Baseball Classic and Major League Baseball teams from three leagues: the National League East, American League East and West. On game days, visitors can still attend the daily workout sessions, but will have to pay a $15 parking fee.
