New York Mets, Texas Rangers announce Friday night starting lineups; Bassitt scratched

The New York Mets open a three-game home series against the Texas Rangers on Friday night.

First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. at Citi Field. The game will be broadcast on the Apple TV Plus.

Glenn Otto (4-3, 5.31) will start for Texas, while Chris Bassitt (6-5, 4.01) was scheduled to go for New York, but was a late scratch. David Peterson will make the start for the Mets. Bassitt has been placed on the IL by the team.
