Police said a preliminary investigation showed that Rockwood was traveling east near the I-95 northbound exit into York as a Nissan Rogue, operated by Dawn Hamdi, of Greenland, N.H., had just exited I-95 and was traveling across Spur Road to make a left turn to head west on the road.

The motorcycle and Nissan, police said, collided in the middle of the intersection.

Police said impact pushed the motorcycle and Nissan into another lane, colliding with a Toyota RAV 4 traveling west on Spur Road. The operator of the Toyota was identified as Sason Bergman of Toronto, Canada.

Police said Spur Road was closed between Route 1 and Chases Pond Road on one side of the median for about two hours.

The crash, they said, remains under investigation. The accident is being reconstructed by the York Police Department.

Also responding to the scene were York Village Fire Department and a York ambulance.
