New York Nursing Home Workers Demand Fair Contracts During Rally in Manhattan

Large crowds of nursing home workers marched through Manhattan, New York, on Wednesday, November 17, to demand “fair contracts with good wages, affordable, comprehensive health benefits, and a guaranteed pension.”

The “Together We Stand” rally, organized by healthcare union 119SEIU, began at 42nd St and Broadway where protesters marched to the union headquarters on Seventh Avenue.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James and Gov Kathy Hochul attended the event to express their support.
