York Revolution announce more promotions

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – The York Revolution revealed their promotion schedule for April and May highlighted by an opening day tribute to Brooks Robinson.

The Revolution start their 17th season on April 25 against the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars. The special tribute to Robinson will honor the legendary MLB third baseman who started his career in York and was an owner of the Revolution. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Robinson White Roses replica jersey.

“Calling Brooks a great ballplayer diminishes him,” said York Revolution President Eric Menzer. “Of course, that is true, but way beyond that, he believed in and supported this city, and he was genuinely a fan and champion of our team. The York Revolution would not be here today without Brooks Robinson.”

The full schedule of April and May promotions is as follows:

  • April 26 – Reusable storage bags for the first 1,000 fans for the York County Solid Waste Authority Go Green Night

  • April 27 – 2024 magnet schedule giveaway to first 1,000 fans and inside-the-park firework show

  • April 28 – First Sunday Funday from Weis Markets. Revolution debuts their new autograph format where the first group of signers will receive cards to be signed. Also the Celebration of Abilities game.

  • May 10 – Breaking the Silence Night, Bartz Brigade, Building Bridges for Brianna and NAMI as part of WellSpan Wellness Weekends. The first 500 kids get a Revolution Pop-It.

  • May 11 – Inside-the-park fireworks and Rookie Revs behind-the-scenes tour.

  • May 12 – Mother’s Day celebration. Moms can partake in Bubbles and Bats, participating in team batting practice and enjoying mimosas.

  • May 15 – Eric Energy teams science and weather

  • May 16 – Go Big BMX Air Show

  • May 24 – First Freebie Friday

  • May 25 – Salute to Service Night. Patriotic hat giveaway for first 1,000 fans and free tickets for veterans and active duty military. Inside-the-park fireworks show

  • May 26 – Kindergarten Countdown, celebrating kids going to kindergarten

  • May 28-May 30 – Ritmo de York by the Bilingual Conexion returns and the Revolution will honor the York Hispanic Communities

  • May 30 – Motorsports Night by BAPS Motor Speedway
