What New York shoppers ordered from Instacart in 2023: These are the top 10 items

Bananas are the top-selling grocery item delivered via Instacart in the United States and Canada, and the tropical fruit is also near the top of the charts in New York.

But that doesn't mean Instacart's customers in the Empire State don't have their own idiosyncrasies.

The San Francisco-based grocery delivery services keeps track of the most commonly ordered items they deliver while partnering with scores of national and regional retail outlets.

When looked at nationally, most states in the country order the same daily essentials — eggs, milk and various fast snacks lead the way

And like most of the country, New York state customers are bananas about bananas, even though it did not finish first, according to data supplied by Instacart.

This is where some possible surprises show up, including the aforementioned cucumbers and bread.
