New York sports arenas and large concert venues can reopen in February with COVID protocols in place.

- Today an announcement about a big step towards getting back to some normalcy during this pandemic. New York Sports arenas and large concert venues can reopen later this month with COVID protocols in place.

- Governor Cuomo saying today that venues that seat more than 10,000 people will be permitted to open with a 10% capacity limit. Plans must be approved by the State Department of Health. Mandatory assigned seating and masks must be worn during events. And all fans are required to have a negative coronavirus test within 72 hours of attending the event.

ANDREW CUOMO: The testing is the key. This hits the balance of safe reopening.

- Barclays Center has been approved to open on February 23 for a Brooklyn Nets game. New York's other sports teams say they look forward to welcoming the fans back as well.
