Some New York state lawmakers are putting more pressure on the Cuomo Administration, demanding accountability on COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.

- Some New York State lawmakers are putting more pressure on the Cuomo administration, demanding accountability on COVID deaths in nursing homes. Republican assembly members on the Oversight and Investigations Committee have sent a letter to Committee Chairman John McDonald. They're asking him to call a public hearing and subpoena State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker to testify.

WILL BARCLAY: But it's very hard to do anything when we're not getting any-- well, very limited information and frankly have been stonewalled by the second floor in the Department of Health and the Governor's Office.

JOHN MCDONALD: I share that frustration. But let's be very clear. No one is covering up for this administration.

- The latest New York State numbers say 15,000 residents of nursing homes and elder care facilities have died from COVID-19.
