- Elise was of course up early with us tracking that eclipse this morning. She's tracking the change in the forecast for us right now here at noon. But that was kind of fun today, wasn't it, Elise?

ELISE FINCH: It was. It really was fun. And it's interesting because it really does look like a Crescent Moon. But no, it's the sun-- it's the moon encroaching on the sun. And so that's really what we saw. It was very cool for us. And then yes we did get a break in the clouds at just the right time. Now as we take a live look outside, we are continuing to see decrease in cloud cover hour by hour. So now, mostly sunny, and 80 degrees in Central Park.

We're looking at temperatures this noon that range from the low 70s to the low 80s with 77 for Greenwich. 75 for Monticello. And then 80 for Sparta, Babylon. And then 82 for Edison. So that is the warmest location on the map at the moment. The temperature change shows that everybody's a little bit cooler right now than they were this time yesterday. For New York City, it is 7 degrees cooler right now than it was this time yesterday. And it is certainly far less humid.

Yesterday we were talking about dew points and really almost all week long. Dew points in the 60s and 70s. The 70s we consider oppressive. Today we're talking about dew points in the 40s and 50s. So a 55 degree dew point in New York City right now, which is 15 degrees lower than it was this time yesterday. 22 degrees lower in White Plains. So we're talking about a much cooler day and a much less humid day, far less humid. So it should feel great.

We had a pair of 90 degree temps for Tuesday and Wednesday. 82 degrees is our forecast high for today. So we'll warm up a little bit more from where we are right now. Tomorrow though, a 10 degree temperature drop is expected. So your Skycast satellite and radar showing a little bit of cloud cover that's out there. For us things are nice and dry today. A cold front moved through, and the placement of that front sort of pushed all that moisture away with it.

So as we go on throughout this afternoon, nice and dry for us today. Expecting it to be dry again tomorrow even though some locations will see a few more clouds on Friday. And then as we head into Saturday, mostly dry. But it does look like we have just the tiniest chance of seeing some shower activity on your Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, we'll see a nice mix of sun and clouds. 76 degrees for Saturday. 77 for Sunday. So temperatures conditions will be a little closer to normal this weekend. But 82 today and 72 tomorrow. Chris.

- Elise, thank you.
