New York Yankees, Cleveland Guardians announce Friday night starting lineups
The New York Yankees open a three-game road series on Friday night against the Cleveland Guardians.
First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. at Cleveland's Progressive Field. The game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.
Gerrit Cole (6-2, 2.99) will start for New York, while Aaron Civale (2-4, 7.20) will be on the mound for the Guardians.
The Yankees (56-21) lead the American League East by 12.5 games with the best record in baseball. Cleveland (39-34) is one game behind the Minnesota Twins in the AL Central.
