New York Yankees, Houston Astros announce Thursday night starting lineups
The New York Yankees open a four-game home series on Thursday night against the Houston Astros.
First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium. The game will be broadcast in New York on the YES Network and nationally on the MLB Network.
Framber Valdez (7-3, 2.78) will start for Houston, while Jameson Taillon (8-1, 2.70) will go for New York.
The Yankees (51-18) have the best record in baseball and lead the American League East by 12 games. The Astros (43-25), have the third best record in MLB and have a 10-game lead in the AL West.
Houston, coming off a two-game home sweep of the Mets, will be in New York for nearly a week – playing two at Citi Field following this series.
