New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates announce Tuesday starting lineups; Rizzo late scratch

The New York Yankees open a two-game road series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.

First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. at Pittsburgh's PNC Park. The game will be broadcast in New York on the YES Network.

Jameson Taillon (9-1, 3.32) will start for the Yankees, while Jose Quintana (1-4, 3.43) will go for the Pirates.

New York (58-22) have the best record in baseball and lead the American League East by 13 games, while Pittsburgh (32-47) are 13.5 games out in the National League Central.

First baseman Anthony Rizzo was a late scratch from the lineup with lower back stiffness. Matt Carpenter will now be the DH and DJ LeMahieu will play first.
