New York's TCS Marathon Wheelchair Competitors Race Up First Avenue

Thousands of wheelchair athletes and runners embarked on the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon, a 26.2-mile race through all five boroughs of New York City, on Sunday morning, November 6.

Leslie Lake posted this video as the pro men’s wheelchair competitors passed her viewing point on First Avenue and 91st Street. “Simply amazing,” she wrote on Twitter.

Marcel Hug was named the winner of the wheelchair division race and broke the previous record, “smashing” it by almost four minutes, the TCS NYC Marathon said. Credit: Leslie Lake via Storyful
