Our Yorkshire Farm’s Clive admits 'behaving badly' towards Amanda
Our Yorkshire Farm star Clive Owen has reflected on the breakdown of his marriage to ex-wife Amanda Owen and admits he had a "massive part to play".
The former couple shot to fame after showcasing their day-to-day farming life with their nine children on the hit Channel 5 documentary series.
However, their family unit changed last year as in June 2022 Amanda released a statement confirming she and Clive had split-up after 22 years of marriage.

Looking back at the events that led to his break-up, Clive insisted he didn’t need sympathy from the Our Yorkshire Farm fans.
"One of the things I hear is people saying, 'poor Clive'. And I feel that isn’t right," he explained, during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine. "We filmed Yorkshire Farm, it was what it was, people loved it."

Clive went on to explain that the Amanda’s initial reason for doing the show was to offer their family more "security", but he struggled to cope with their new life in front of the cameras.
"As you know, it was amazing and successful," he remarked. "But I handled it very badly. It was such a change in our lives and I sadly made a right mess of things.
"I had a massive part to play in our relationship ending. A massive part to play. When all this was going on, here I am ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on."

Further detailing his emotions towards Amanda at the time, Clive explained he felt the show was "taking her away".
"But it wasn’t, she was just committed," he explained. "We were all committed to this thing, but it seemed to eat away at me and I handled it badly.
"I behaved badly towards her because I should have been supportive, and I was doing the absolute opposite."
Channel 5 announced the cancellation of Our Yorkshire Farm following the couple's split, but instead commissioned a spin-off focused on Clive and their son Reuben called Beyond the Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive.
Beyond the Yorkshire Farm airs on Channel 5, and is able to stream on My 5.
