Young artists invited to enter work in 2022 juried art competition at Cornerstone

MUNCIE — The 2022 Young Artist Exhibition at Cornerstone Center for the Arts is a juried art competition open to all K-12 students residing in Delaware County. Contestants are invited to submit up to two works of art in the categories of 2D (painting, drawing), 3D (sculpture, fiber arts, ceramics) and Intermedia (photography, videography, digital animation) by April 1.

The theme of the competition is “My Community,” encouraging young artists to reflect in their work their communities and what they share in common with those around them, according to a release.

YAE Juried Art Competition finalists can see their work professionally displayed throughout May in the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery at Cornerstone, 520 E. Main St., beginning May 5.

Members of the community will be invited to celebrate these young artists during the YAE Awards Ceremony 5-8 p.m. May 20 at Cornerstone.
