Young concedes as ballot canvassing underway in race for Baltimore mayor

Baltimore is getting closer to learning who will become the next mayor as the city Board of Elections began canvassing all the city races Friday. Baltimore Mayor Jack Young conceded Friday in the race for mayor. In early returns, he had only captured 7% of the vote. Young didn't campaign. Instead, he focused on running the city during the coronavirus pandemic, and he expressed disappointment voters didn't recognize how well he handled a number of emergencies.
