Young Dolph’s aunt dies at 67, funeral home says

Another heartbreak has hit the family of Adolph Thornton Jr., known and loved around the world by the name Young Dolph.

Young Dolph’s aunt, Rita Myer, died Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 67, according to an obituary from N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

She had been battling cancer.

Her death comes just over six months after Young Dolph was tragically gunned down at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies.

Myer was the sister of Young Dolph’s father.

A visitation for Myer will be held between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27 at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home at 12 South Parkway West and her burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
