Young girl, 3 adults shot in car on South Side
A young girl and three adults were shot in a car and seriously wounded Monday evening in the Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side, according to authorities.
One child was taken from the scene near 47th Street and Union Avenue to Comer Children’s Hospital, while three adults were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, according to a Fire Department spokesman. All four were in critical condition.
All four appeared to have been taken out of a car after being shot.
Paramedics, firefighters and police tended to the youngest victim before tending to the other three.
