Young Sheldon final season to feature Big Bang Theory easter eggs

Young Sheldon executive producer Steve Holland has confirmed that the show's final season will feature The Big Bang Theory easter eggs.
The hit spin-off prequel, which focuses on Sheldon Cooper, will end with its seventh season, which premiered yesterday (February 15) on CBS.
Speaking to New York Post, Holland assured fans that there will be some nostalgic references to the original sitcom.
"We're aware that Big Bang Theory fans like those little Easter Egg moments, so there's definitely going to be some of those coming up," he said.

"There are some Big Bang references I think people will be excited to see and we're excited to put them in."
He continued: "Knowing this was our last season, we each had a personal list of things we wanted to acknowledge or make reference to or hide in the background – and I think Big Bang fans will have a lot to look forward to."
The producer went on to explain why there won't be an eighth instalment, saying: "To go on longer would have been personally rewarding but it wouldn't have been fair to the show. This felt like a great time to bring it to a close."
CBS confirmed late last year that Young Sheldon, which begun in 2017, will come to an end after season seven.

Amy Reisenbach, President of Entertainment at CBS, said in a statement: "As a prequel to one of the biggest comedies, Young Sheldon proved lightning can strike twice.
"It set itself apart with a remarkable cast that felt like a family from the first moment we saw them on screen and brought characters to life with unique heartfelt stories that drew audiences in from the start."
She continued: "We look forward to seeing [the] final season unfold and giving it a proper send-off with the best episodes yet for their fans to enjoy."
Young Sheldon season seven is currently airing on CBS in the US. The show is also shown in the UK on E4. You can buy The Big Bang Theory complete boxset now on DVD and Blu-ray.
