From sizzling shows and concerts to family-friendly festivals, here’s what’s happening in Charlotte this weekend.

Grab a blanket or chair and head to Ramsey Creek Beach on Friday for Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s free Sundown Sounds concert series.

Another place to catch a free show is the Friday Night Live concert series in downtown Belmont.

Music fans can also see Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Yola, Mavis Staples, and Robert Randolph at the Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on Friday.

Have a ball with the Charlotte Knights as they take on Nashville at Truist Field this weekend. There will be fireworks following the games on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday, kids can run the bases after the game.

Broadway fans can bet their bottom dollar that tomorrow there’ll be sun when “Annie” takes the stage at Belk Theater. Shows run through Sunday.

Sip and sample your way through the 3rd annual Seltzer World Festival in South End on Saturday.

Saturday is National Trails Day and the Carolina Thread Trail is offering free guided hikes and bike rides throughout the day in multiple locations. In addition, several other family-friendly events are taking place for National Trails Day including a celebration at Tuckaseege Park in Mount Holly, community day on Main Street in McAdenville, and Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill is offering free admission.

Shop local from more than 70 small businesses and enjoy food trucks and live music at the Front Porch Sundays pop-up market at Atherton Mill in South End.

Learn about the plant-based lifestyle and listen to live music at the Vegan Vibe music series at NoDa Brewing in North End on Sunday.

Ready for a quick road trip? Have a squealin’ good time at the 15th annual Livermush Festival in downtown Marion on Saturday.
