Youth Orchestra of Bucks County plans two concerts this weekend

The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County will hold its fall concerts at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Holland Middle School and at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Delaware Valley University Life Sciences Auditorium in Doylestown.

Saturday's concert at the school at 400 E. Holland Road in Northampton will include philharmonia, ripieno, concertino, prima strings and wind symphony selections.

The concert Sunday feature YOBC Concerto Competition winners Lea Rubenstein of Perkiomen Valley High School and Rena Xu of New Hope-Solebury High School as well as the symphony orchestra, concert winds, and percussion ensemble. The DelVal Life Sciences Auditorium is at 700 E. Butler Ave., Doylestown.

Robert Loughran serves as the YOBC music director, assisted by Steven B. Sweetsir.
