YouTube sensation to headline Sacramento Pride festival. Here’s the 2023 event schedule

Sacramento Pride events return this year with a two-day festival and march.

Hosted by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center, the annual events celebrate LGBTQ+ culture, diversity and advocacy in the region.

The march takes place Sunday, June 11 and the festival, which garners more than 22,000 people each year, according to the center, runs June 10 to June 11 on Capitol Mall downtown.

Proceeds from the event go to the community center’s services, according to the Pride website.

How to register for Pride March

Pride March starts at 11 a.m., Sunday at Southside Park, 2115 Sixth St. and ends at Capitol Mall on 10th Street.

There will be large and colorful floats, music, cars and, of course, marchers.

“Harkening back to the earliest days of Pride events as protests against oppression, this event is both a demonstration of activism in our pursuit of equity and social justice as well as a celebration of diverse Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and two-spirit communities and culture,” the website states.

You can register to march for free online.
