YouTube Star Jeffree Star Sells Bubblegum Pink Calabasas Mansion

Jeffree Star’s taste is bold, as evidenced by the Mediterranean-style Calabasas starter home he just offloaded for $3.4 million. According to Dirt, the final sale price was a loss for the YouTuber given the $3.6 million he paid for it in 2016 and the additional money he sank into the 6,785-square-foot mansion to customize it to his particular aesthetic.
As his viewers know, the interior is outfitted with varying shades of pink, custom drapes, and even an entire wall of pink crushed velvet. The front foyer in particular is a pink explosion, with pink leather on the walls above and below the curved staircase. Wrought-iron railings and black chandeliers add a hint of a gothic aesthetic. A family room with a lofted ceiling features a granite-topped wet bar with a brick backsplash and pink velour curtains. The adjacent kitchen continues the color and texture motif with bubblegum pink walls, two pink crystal chandeliers hanging over two large marble-topped center islands, and an unusual brick-patterned ceiling.
The main suite boasts multiple shades of electric pink, and the en suite bathroom resembles a Barbie dream house, with a Jacuzzi-style deep-soaking tub, a glass-enclosed steam shower, and bright pink walls. Star also installed a pink walk-in closet with a pink bank-vault door during his time there. The unique mansion boasts a total of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, with one of the guest bedrooms painted a deep red with a crushed velvet wall.
In January, Star shared a video tour of the mansion as he began the process of moving out. “I woke up this morning and I sobbed, I cried happy tears this morning because it has been such a crazy journey getting here,” he said. “And I think sometimes people only see the success or the rewards, but on a real level, 6 years ago I had $500 to my name.” Presently, the Jeffree Star Cosmetics owner, who has been embattled in various scandals throughout his career as an internet personality, resides in an enormous mega-estate in Hidden Hills that he purchased for $14 million last December.
