YouTuber Saves Asian Man From Mugger in London During Live Stream
Social media users are praising a live streamer for saving an Asian man from a mugger in London last week.
YouTuber Sherwin was live streaming while looking for his Uber ride when he heard someone scream for help near Leicester Square on April 9, according to Daily Dot.
Sherwin shouted, "Leave him alone!” while running to the victim, who was on the ground with his fallen bicycle. The mugger backed away at the sight of Sherwin.
The victim can be heard pleading to Sherwin to call the police. The streamer dialed the authorities, and the mugger tried to get back at his victim.
A group of men arrived to help. While Sherwin explained what had happened, the suspect fled.
Reddit user HerbertGoon shared a one-minute clip of the live stream on the subreddit r/PublicFreakout. The post has already amassed over 69,000 upvotes.
The full version of the video was uploaded to Sherwin’s YouTube channel. In the video, the victim can be heard calling the attack “attempted murder” since the suspect allegedly threatened him with a knife.
Sherwin took to Twitter to thank his viewers and followers for their support, Dexerto reported.
The admiration, love, appreciation is too cool 💜🥴
Thank you for all the kind messages and comments
I'm not used to this
I know what it's like to be attacked for no good reason.
I'm super glad I instinctively reacted fast. I'm happy I saved someone who was in serious danger🙂

Just saw your video, great job with stepping in and helping the guy. Not everyone would do that, very brave. You really saved him, makes it feel better knowing there are good people out there that would do something and not just be a bystander. Well done!
