Zaftigs In Brookline Reopens After 5-Month Closure

BROOKLINE, MA — After being closed for over five months to clean and rebuild after a fire, Zaftigs Delicatessen on Harvard Street in Brookline officially reopened this week.

The restaurant closed in early August due to water damage and was closed for much longer than initially expected.

“Thrilled to announce the reopening of our Brookline location MONDAY, JAN. 17!” said the restaurant in a Facebook post. "Thank you for your patience. We are grateful for years of your patronage and support.”

Zaftigs, which also has a Natick location that has remained open throughout the pandemic, will follow all COVID-19 safety protocols to ensure the safety of staff and customers.

Among other guidelines, masks must be worn until seated and proof of vaccination is required for all guests.
