“All equipment and safety systems are working without a hitch,” the agency said.

Energoatom also said it had managed to restore several of the power lines which ensure the ZNPP reactor cooling system remains operational. These connections were previously severed by Russian troops occupying the premises.

According to the message, Ukrenergo will soon be able to repair the rest of the connections to the facility, further increasing the safety of ZNPP’s reactors.

“The Ukrainian generation system continues to operate as part of the (European) ENTSO-E,” Energoatom’s message said.

“The loss of capacity caused by ZNPP going offline briefly has been compensated for, and the system remains in balance.”
