Stakeholder input is “vital to the success of this process,” the district said, adding that a stakeholder is anyone with a vested interest in ZPS. To gather those thoughts, the district is holding a pair of input sessions in November.

The sessions are scheduled for 12-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Zeeland East Media Center, and 5:15-6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Creekside Middle School Quack Shack.

An online survey is available for those unable to attend the input sessions at zps.org/strategicplan in English and Spanish.

The survey asks how the district can improve in specific areas, what overall hopes and ideals for the schools should be, and opinions on the current state of the district.

“We recognize that the best plans are informed by the needs and priorities of the community, and we are excited to integrate the feedback we receive from our stakeholders,” ZPS Superintendent Brandi-Lyn Mendham said at the start of the process.

“Our strategic plan will be a symbol of our commitment to continuous improvement and will help us to communicate and celebrate our growth and progress along the way.”
